The program content is delivered over 5 weeks to allow time to transition habits and adopt new food behaviors which support personalized food preferences and exercise goals. The basic training program serves as a foundational first step to guide participants in the first steps to improve nutritional wellness. Subsequent training includes the cultivation of physical environments to support sound nutritional practices, learning how to replace highly processed foods with plant based whole foods which support health, reduce heal inflammation and drive wellness. Lastly, Cookin’ up Fitness serves as a platform to connect its’ members to resources and support systems which propel long term health.   

Weekly Summary

Welcome to Nutrition Basic Training! Nutrition is central to health. Similar to exercise, nutrition must be applied in a systematic manner in order to fuel our body for optimal health performance. This program is a hands-on instructional guide which helps participants learn about nutrition and how much fuel their bodies need each day. In this program participants will learn about the Quantity of fuel needed in terms of carbohydrates, fats and proteins, how to choose high Quality foods to fuel health and determine the Frequency of fueling necessary to manage a healthy weight. When the program is compete participants will have a clear understanding of the amount, type, and timing to feed their body for optimal health.
