Welcome to Nutrition Basic Training! Nutrition is central to athletic performance. Similar to physical training, nutrition must be applied in a systematic manner in order to fuel optimal performance. The Nutrition Basic Training program is a hands-on instructional guide to support athletes in customizing their nutritional needs to support athletic goals. Athletes will learn about the Quantity of carbohydrates, fats and proteins their body needs, how to choose high Quality foods to meet performance goals and determine the Frequency of food intake necessary to amplify energy. When the program is compete athletes will have a clear understanding of the amount, type, and timing in which to fuel their body.

The program content is delivered over 6 weeks to allow time to transition habits and adopt new food behaviors which support personalized food preferences and athletic goals. The basic training program serves as a foundational first step to guide athletes to improve performance through nutrition. Subsequent training includes the cultivation of physical environments to support sound nutritional practices, learning how to replace highly processed foods with plant based whole foods which support health, heal inflammation and drive performance. Lastly, Cookin’ up Fitness serves as a platform to connect athletes to resources and support systems which propel athletic success.

  • Learn how to correct macronutrient excesses and deficiencies
